Originally from the Washington, DC area, Marni Rothschild'ss creative enthusiasm was cultivated as a child when she frequented the many art galleries of the nation's capital. She received her Masters of Fine Art in photography from Virginia Commonwealth University and strongly believes that being a creative photographer with formal training in art differentiates her from other photographers who take a more literal approach to documenting weddings. Ms. Rothschild moved to Charleston with the intent to teach photography and dabble in commercial advertising work on the side, so it came as a surprise to her when she found herself declining commercial jobs in order to pursue wedding photography. Inspired by the Holy City's romantic backdrop and motivated by a desire to provide an alternative to more traditional, static wedding photography, she has been thrilled to keep her Saturday evenings occupied shooting other people's Lowcountry weddings since 2001. Ms. Rothschild is also a regular contributor to Charleston's creative community and is represented online at www.postpicasso.com.
