The uber talented Calder Clark hosted lunch for the Charleston Area Wedding Planners Association at Harborside East a few months ago. My set shots from the event are featured in the current issue of Charleston Weddings Magazine. I was completely swept of my feet by Anne Girault’s beautiful cake, the delicate flowers that top it are hand crafted sugar paste!
If you haven’t been to Citrus on East Bay Street yet you’re missing out. I’m lucky enough to live around the corner from Jon Anderson’s yummy spot and nothing is easier than popping by his place at 6pm to pick up short ribs and roasted veggies after a busy day. If you’re in search of a personal chef he’s your man, and he also serves up lunch and a mean brownie if you need some sweets for your Valentine. Keep an eye out for his new website, we took a few pictures for it last week!
I love to photograph food at weddings but it’s usually during the frenzy of dinnertime and I always feel like I’m holding up somebody’s supper or interfering with a busy server’s job. Photographing ice cream yesterday was no less hectic, as my subject wilted the longer I admired it or considered my camera angle. Lucky for me, a friend’s puppy was there to clean up any casualties…talk about a lucky dog!
